Recognising the importance of social media, The Rocket Marketing Group have launched themselves into the world of Facebook and Twitter to actively engage with members of their benefits & savings programmes.
Rocket began their foray into this fast-moving field in 2010 but stepped up a level in early 2011 by creating a brand new Social Media Executive role. They employed young entrepreneur Jelly Gassman to fill the position and have since been working on a strategy to communicate with existing members using social media.
“Rocket are doing exactly the right thing by developing a social media strategy to engage with their club members,” says Jelly, “They are an inspiring company to work for – other businesses ignore social media at their peril.”
With its straight-forward benefits and obvious appeal, Rocket chose their 241 Hotel Club – offering two nights for the price of one in over 300 UK & Ireland hotels – as the first of its products to be represented on social platforms. Ideal for their target market, Rocket turned their attention to Facebook and created a snazzy page for the 241 Hotel Club. With regular updates and a personal voice, the page represents a community for people to swap travel tips.
To entice members to engage on Facebook, Rocket have launched a competition that runs exclusively on the 241 Hotel Club Facebook page and requires entrants to ‘like’ the page in order to enter. The prize is a fantastic two-night hotel stay for two in a 4* Crowne Plaza London hotel, plus theatre tickets for two to a west end show.

The Rocket Marketing Group has successfully passed its yearly ISO:9001 accreditation assessment with the British Standards Institution (BSI). Assessors found no outstanding issues and praised Rocket in their assessment report, stating they showed a ‘strong focus on customer service and development of the organisation’.
The annual assessment is designed to review the ongoing capability of Rocket’s Quality Management System in meeting ISO 9001:2008 standards, and to identify opportunities for further business and system improvements in the future.

As the UK’s airports begin to tentatively open their doors to the public following a week of travel chaos, experts are beginning to calculate the cost of unprecedented disruptions to British air travel.
While it’s clear that the airlines have lost huge amounts of money (around £1.1bn according to the International Air Transport Association), the cost to British tourism may yet prove to be negligible.
In fact, many industry experts believe the UK’s visitor economy may actually benefit in the long term, as the delays, cost, and discomfort suffered by stranded holiday makers may cause people to think twice about holidaying abroad in the future. (more…)

Guthy-Renker the US owned beauty and fitness products company has joined up with The Rocket Marketing Group to offer a first-ever loyalty reward scheme for its UK customers.
Rocket will now promote its Big Savings Club programme with Guthy-Renker to maximise client retention through its home shopping channels.
One of the fast growing, fully integrated, service providers in the Membership, Rewards and Incentive arena, Rocket will operate their Club for Guthy-Renker, bringing a whole host of new discounted services and benefits to the mix – all well aligned to Guthy-Renker’s demographic.

We are delighted to have now been awarded accreditation for ISO9001:2000 from The British Standards Institute.
This very much supports our policy and intentions to consistently provide excellent customer and client service, and to strive for continuous improvement.
ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used internationally in 161 countries, and set the standard not only for quality management systems, but management in general. BSI were the world’s first national standards body and have been called a ‘superbrand’. It is perhaps best known and recognised by the Kitemark logo. This is clearly a great testament to our dedication and achievements in operating at the highest level of service and quality.

We have now re-released a newly designed and fully functional Big Savings Club website.
As part of our commitment to continuously improving our products and services, this new site is a major step forward both in terms of design and functionality. The new site allows the customer much greater interaction with the offers, together with real time integration to SAP and our in house Membership Services team.
The new site has taken several weeks to develop, and will be used as our technical template going forward. Over the next few weeks you will see new releases of all our club sites.
