Rocket Signs Agreement with AEGON Direct Marketing Services

The Rocket Marketing Group has signed an agreement with AEGON Direct Marketing Services Europe Ltd. to be the provider of club benefit programmes to their customers.

AEGON Direct Marketing Services, along with its affiliated companies, is a global leader in the marketing of insurance and membership products via direct marketing. It is part of AEGON, an international provider of life insurance, pensions and asset management, with businesses in over 20 countries and serving 40 million customers worldwide.

Rocket and AEGON Direct Marketing Services will be working closely together to promote non-core offers and benefits to ADMS Europe’s existing and new customers.

This new alliance will allow AEGON Direct Marketing Services to create new business opportunities in addition to enhancing their existing customer offerings. ADMS Europe realises that adding value of this nature will increase their customer loyalty and retention.

Rocket Launches Online Savings Club 123Save.co.uk

Rocket is launching its first online-only programme, savings website 123Save.co.uk. The site features big brand discounts negotiated directly across a wide range of Rocket’s partners, and with two tiers of membership.

In addition, Rocket is proud to have agreed a partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust and is donating 10% of all sign-up revenue to the charity.


Prior to the launch of 123Save, Rocket’s range of products had been based around print guides detailing offers and savings available to club members, supported by websites. Due to demand from clients, Rocket is launching a product based solely online.

123Save brings its members top offers, savings and discounts across a wide range of popular online and high street brands. Deals include 20% off Disneyland Paris for two, a free three-month Gourmet Society membership, 10% off pet supplies and up to 50% off Ticketmaster tickets.

Unlike other voucher code websites which piggyback affiliate networks and utilise unguaranteed cashback models to enable them to offer savings to the public, Rocket has direct relationships with all of the retailers featured on 123Save. Users have the option of two tiers of membership: Essential membership is free, and Choice offers higher discounts for £1.99 a month.

123Save will initially be launched as a website in its own right, but Rocket is already in talks with clients about launching white label versions of the site to offer savings directly to their own customers.

Rocket and Ideal Sign Contracts

241 Hotel Club Announces Facebook Competition Winner

To mark the launch of its Facebook page, 241 Hotel Club ran a competition on the social platform. It attracted a huge amount of interest and thousands of new fans, and now, 241 Hotel Club are pleased to announce the winner and runners-up.

Up for grabs was a first prize consisting of a two-night stay in a four star London Crowne Plaza hotel, complete with theatre tickets for two to a west-end hit show. In addition, 50 runners-up were awarded a 12-month membership to 241 Hotel Club UK, which usually sells for £29.99. The number of runner-up prizes was doubled shortly after the competition began to acknowledge the large number of entries and further incentivise people to share the competition with their Facebook friends.

People were required to ‘like’ 241 Hotel Club’s Facebook page in order to enter the competition. It attracted a huge amount of attention and various other websites linked to the page. This generated an unprecedented level of traffic to the 241 Hotel Club Facebook page, which in turn increased fans of the page by the thousands.

The competition was open throughout April and May 2011, and winners were drawn on the 8th June 2011. Barry Cox from Norwich was elated to find out he’d won the top prize, saying “Thank you. My wife will be delighted.”

The 50 runners-up represent a wide demographic of the public from across England, Scotland and Wales. “I was delighted to hear I’d won a runner-up prize in the Facebook competition.” says Alison Cairns from Scotland, “I’m looking forward to taking advantage of some great hotel deals over the coming year. Thanks very much 241 Hotel Club!”

Rocket Pass ISO Re-certification Audit with Added Scope

The Rocket Marketing Group has successfully passed its ISO 9001 re-certification audit with the British Standards Institution (BSI). Furthermore, BSI have expanded Rocket’s certified scope to include the design process alongside the provision of loyalty and incentive programmes and customer support services.

Rocket’s certification under this internationally established standard highlights their strong commitment to quality, service and customer excellence.

Rocket is annually assessed by the BSI to review the ongoing capability of their Quality Management System in meeting ISO 9001:2008 standards, but this was an extra-special audit three years after Rocket’s initial accreditation.
Based in Brighton, Rocket employ a team of 50 to create and manage a range of membership programmes and consumer incentives. Rocket takes care of every aspect of these products in-house, and the ISO certification applies to all sectors of the business including design, customer focus, leadership, people, effective processes, continual improvements, relationships and decision-making.

The annual assessment also identifies opportunities to further improve business and systems procedures. In last year’s assessment, BSI recommended that Rocket’s design process be included in their future ISO scope, as they showed ‘clear evidence of capability’ towards expanding the certification to include this.

Following their recent audit, the BSI recommended that Rocket not only retain its ISO registration, but have also extended Rocket’s accreditation to the creative design and development part of the business – an excellent achievement.

The inclusion of design is further testament to the continual commitment to the development of Rocket’s business processes over the last 3 years.

Rocket Launches Facebook Page with 4* Hotel Break Competition

Recognising the importance of social media, The Rocket Marketing Group have launched themselves into the world of Facebook and Twitter to actively engage with members of their benefits & savings programmes.

Rocket began their foray into this fast-moving field in 2010 but stepped up a level in early 2011 by creating a brand new Social Media Executive role. They employed young entrepreneur Jelly Gassman to fill the position and have since been working on a strategy to communicate with existing members using social media.
