The Rocket Marketing Group Executive Team:
Andy Huggins has worked for over 25 years in various marketing roles covering Promotions, Direct Marketing, Strategy & Research, mainly in the Food & Drink industry.
Andy’s entrepreneurship lead him to set up Lighthouse Marketing in April 1999, providing Market & Consumer Research. These Strategy & Research services lead into new product development, testing and targeting, product packaging and branding. In 2001, he saw an opportunity to develop the growing affinity sector and established Rocket UK Ltd, initially to launch The Big Savings Club. Andy is Rocket Marketing Group’s Chairman & Founder and over recent years has developed and grown the business to become a leading enterprise, with turnover in excess of £5m. More recently Andy is focused on Business Development and the continued growth strategy.
In 2006 Andy recruited Alan Saunders as Operations and Business Development Director, seeing the need for operational expertise to facilitate fast growth. In 2012 Alan was appointed Managing Director and has full day to day management responsibility for the business.
Alan brings a wealth of experience in changing and growing businesses. As Head of Merchandising Operations for Chelsea Football Club from 1998, he was instrumental in developing Chelsea’s award-winning Merchandising Operation. In 2000 Alan became the first employee of sit-up TV and was pivotal in both the start up and growth of the business to become one of the largest home delivery companies in the UK, delivering in excess of 11 million products a year. Alan initially set up and managed the Contact & Fulfillment Operation and then went on to Head of Business & Commercial Development.
In 2000 Ashley Faull co-founded ‘sit-up’ which created TV auction channels bid tv, price-drop.tv and speed auction.tv. The business won many accolades and was eventually sold to Virgin Media in 2005 for almost £200 million.
Ashley won the Broadcast Magazine inaugural Individual Achievement award and is a specialist at launching and running TV channels, having worked on over 14 during his career which spanned The Discovery Channel, Flextech, Telewest and ON Digital. He has an MBA and a law degree and advised the Football Association on its ground-breaking £300million+ deal with Sky and the BBC.
Ashley and his wife have two sons and the family is now based near Poole Harbour from where he has co-founded postgoldforcash.com and invests in both TV channel and web concepts – searching for great new concepts which can become as successful as sit-up which employs over 1,000 staff and made some of its VC investors a 10 times return on their investment. These new investments include working with The Rocket Marketing Group on a number of projects, with a seat on Rocket’s board, as a Non-Executive Director.
