The Rocket Marketing Group signs a long-term agreement with sit-up channels

The Rocket Marketing Group has worked with sit-up channels since July 2006 when they signed their first agreement to provide discount and benefits membership programmes for sit-up channels’ customers. sit-up channels has successfully gained incremental revenue from the sale of these discount and benefits membership programmes to its consumers. Now three and a half years later sit-up channels are extending their agreement with The Rocket Marketing Group to be the sole provider of discount and benefits membership programmes for a further three years. The Rocket Marketing Group creates loyalty and membership programmes which offer discounts on major brands, to its members. The company has enjoyed huge growth over the last 3 years, and has gone from employing 12 members of staff to over 50, across all areas of the business including call centre, fulfillment, technical, marketing and creative.

Rocket has also increased the variety of loyalty and membership programmes it offers, working with new key clients and partners. The company now operates 7 clubs and a number of great rewards such as the exclusive Blockbuster 2 for 1 Movie & Game Rental Card, giving more and more members fantastic discounts on their favourite brands. The range of clubs include The Home & Garden Club, The Entertainment Club, The 241 Hotel Club, The Big Savings Club, The JML VIP Club, plus more on the horizon.

Ashley Faull joins The Rocket Marketing Group board of directors

ashley faull Ashley Faull joins Andy Huggins and Alan Saunders on the board of The Rocket Marketing Group. The Rocket Marketing Group has enjoyed substantial growth this year, currently employing over 40 members of staff. In the last 6 months Rocket has expanded its product portfolio to 7 great products including The Big Savings Club, The Entertainment Club and the 241 Hotel Club.

As a non-executive board member Ashley’s experience in growing businesses and his media and consumer knowledge will be a key part of this expansion. Ashley comes to Rocket having launched and worked on over 14 TV channels during his career with companies including The Discovery Channel, Telewest and ON Digital. Other business achievements include winning the Broadcast Magazine inaugural ‘Individual Achievement’ award and co-founding the sit-up channels (bid tv and price-drop tv), which won many accolades. The sit-up business was sold to Virgin Media for £194 million in 2005.

Ashley comments: “I have known Rocket and its Directors for several years and believe them to be the very best operators in their field. The company has a very exciting future and I am delighted to have become a shareholder and Director to help guide them through the next stage of their journey.”

The Rocket Marketing Group achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification

The Rocket Marketing Group has been upgraded from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008 following a very successful annual inspection.

The British Standards Institution inspectors found no non-conformances and were pleased to award Rocket certification for the integrity of the organisation’s management system over the current assessment cycle, enabling continuing assessment and confirming a forward strategic plan.

The business has a team of over 30 staff, covering marketing, creative, technical, fulfilment and call centre specialists, all fully managed in-house. The certification applies to all sectors of the business and confirms Rocket as a highly professional operation. By being responsible for insisting on quality and reaching excellent standards throughout the business Rocket are leading the way in this area of the Sales Promotion industry.

Roz Garnem, Operations and Quality Manager at The Rocket Marketing Group commented: “I cannot believe that it has already been a year since we were first assessed by the British Standards Institution (BSI) and given our ISO 9001:2000 certification. I am very pleased that I have had this opportunity to head up this project and pleased that we have managed to continuously maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) to such high standards since its implementation last July. Plus this year, we actually managed to be upgraded to ISO 9001:2008, which is the most up-to-date version of the standard.

Being assessed against this globally recognised standard has allowed us to continue the growth of this Company in a structured and controlled way and helped to heighten our profile when facing prospective new clients, whilst still allowing us to keep our customers’ interests in the foreground.

Blockbuster 2 for 1 rental cardThe Rocket Marketing Group has agreed a new partnership with Blockbuster Entertainment. Rocket has come together with Blockbuster and created a 2 for 1 Movie & Game Rental Card.

Exclusive rights for the 2 for 1 Movie & Game Rental Card are held by The Rocket Marketing Group who will market the product directly to businesses, for use as staff and customer rewards.

This partnership is great news for consumers as it is a superb new product which could potentially save them a considerable amount of money. In the current economic climate it is important that any promotion matches the mood of consumers and this makes a cheap night in even cheaper, giving customers the opportunity to enjoy themselves more often.

Rocket will also be using the 2 for 1 Movie & Game Rental Card as a reward in a number of its loyalty and membership programmes.
